HBG Realty LLC, an affiliate of Harristown Enterprises, today announced that H&R Block will open a new tax office in downtown Harrisburg at 225 Market Street, occupying about 1,180 square feet at the corner of Market and South Third Streets in the SoMa district.
Beginning on February 1st, H&R Block will use this location to provide services including tax preparation, tax audit assistance, electronic tax filing, refund transfers, refund anticipation loans and other similar financial services.
“With the influx of new residential tenants in the SoMa neighborhood over the past five years, having this reputable tax service location in the area will be invaluable,“ stated Brad Jones, President of Harristown Enterprises (building manager). “This addition helps to solidify the concept of a walkable community, where everything you need is within a few blocks’ walk.”
Harristown has invested over $20 million in the SoMa district over the past 20 years, which now includes Stash-Midtown Dandy vintage thrift store and Tamara Boutique, Boneshire Taps @ SoMa, El Sol Mexican Restaurant, Veterans Multi-Service Outreach offices, the Harrisburg Soniqs “LAN Gaming Center,” the Narҫisse Theatre Company, and over 160 renovated apartments. In addition, the Harrisburg University Health Sciences $100 Million 11-story tower is now completed and ready for occupancy in January 2023.
